What Is a Biomarker?
A biomarker is a molecular or biological signature that can be measured objectively. In integrative health, I look at these markers—such as hormones, vitamins, or inflammatory proteins—to understand how your body is functioning and where it might need support.
How Is Biomarker Screening Performed?
Biomarker screening is performed using a small finger-prick blood sample. The sample is analysed using the HiPro point-of-care immunoassay analyser, with results available during the appointment.
Biomarkers I Currently Offer
Vitamin B12
Energy metabolism and nervous system health.
Ferritin
Iron storage levels, vital for oxygen transport and energy.
CRP
C-Reactive Protein: A primary marker for systemic inflammation.
Testosterone
Key hormone for physical and emotional well-being.
HbA1c
Long-term blood sugar levels and metabolic regulation.
Oestradiol / E2
Crucial for hormonal balance and reproductive health.
Thyroid Panel
A comprehensive view of thyroid function including TSH, T3, and T4 level markers. Together, these provide a detailed picture of your metabolism and thyroid health beyond just basic screenings.

How Does Biomarker Screening Relate to Your Health?
Screening provides measurable information. I consider the result alongside your health history, symptoms, medication, nutrition and lifestyle to identify areas that may deserve further attention.
Objective Measurement + Whole-Person Assessment
Biomarker screening provides measurable information that can be considered alongside your health history, symptoms, medication, nutrition and lifestyle. This helps place an individual result within a broader, personalised health assessment.
From Sample to Result

Clear, evidence-informed nutritional and lifestyle recommendations.

Looking at the Bigger Picture
If a result is outside the expected range, it is not a diagnosis. Instead, it is a cue to look deeper—at your lifestyle—to return to balance.
Important Information
Biomarker screening is for educational purposes only. It is not intended to replace medical diagnosis or emergency care.
