Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Holistic Wellness and to the use of the Holistic Wellness website.

By booking an appointment, purchasing a service or attending a consultation with Holistic Wellness, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before booking an appointment.

Holistic Wellness takes an integrative and preventative approach designed to help clients better understand factors that may influence their health and wellbeing.

2. COMPLEMENTARY NATURE OF THE SERVICE
Holistic Wellness provides complementary nutritional and wellbeing services.

The practice does not operate as a GP surgery, hospital, emergency department or diagnostic medical laboratory.

Complementary observational modalities including Live Blood Analysis, Dry Blood Analysis, Iridology and Sclera Observation are not used to medically diagnose disease.

These approaches are used within their respective complementary frameworks to provide observational and educational information that may contribute to a wider assessment of nutrition, lifestyle and wellbeing.

Services provided by Holistic Wellness are not intended to replace appropriate medical diagnosis, treatment, investigation or monitoring.

3. YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR GP AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
Clients are encouraged to maintain an appropriate relationship with their GP and other healthcare professionals.

You should continue to:
Attend routine medical appointments
Participate in appropriate NHS screening programmes
Undertake investigations recommended by your doctor
Attend specialist appointments
Follow appropriate medical advice
Take prescribed medication as directed by your prescriber

Nothing provided by Holistic Wellness should be interpreted as an instruction to discontinue or avoid appropriate medical care.

Where findings or symptoms warrant medical investigation, Holistic Wellness may recommend that you consult your GP, pharmacist, consultant or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

4. PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION
Holistic Wellness does not instruct clients to discontinue, reduce, increase or otherwise alter prescribed medication.

Any change to prescribed medication must be discussed with and authorised by the healthcare professional responsible for prescribing or managing that medication.

Clients must provide accurate information concerning medication and should inform Holistic Wellness of relevant changes.

5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The quality and appropriateness of recommendations depend partly upon the information provided by the client.

Clients are therefore responsible for providing information that is, to the best of their knowledge, accurate and complete.

This includes relevant information concerning:
Medical conditions
Symptoms
Medication
Supplements
Allergies and intolerances
Previous investigations
Relevant medical treatment
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Significant changes in health
Dietary practices
Relevant lifestyle factors

If circumstances change following an assessment, clients should inform Holistic Wellness where those changes may affect existing recommendations.

Holistic Wellness cannot reasonably assess information that has not been disclosed.

6. APPOINTMENTS
Appointments are subject to availability.

The duration of an appointment may vary according to the service booked and individual circumstances.

Clients should arrive at the agreed appointment time.

Late arrival may result in the consultation being shortened where another client is scheduled afterwards.

Where a client arrives significantly late, it may be necessary to reschedule the appointment.

7. BOOKING CONFIRMATION
An appointment is considered confirmed once it has been accepted through the applicable booking process.

Confirmation may be provided by:
Email
Telephone
Text message
Online booking
An authorised clinic or venue
Another agreed communication method

Clients are responsible for checking the date, time and location of their appointment.

8. APPOINTMENT FEES
The applicable fee will normally be communicated before the appointment or displayed through the relevant booking information.

Prices may vary according to:
Type of assessment
Appointment duration
Additional screening requested
Biomarker tests selected
Follow-up services
Additional agreed services

Where additional optional testing carries an additional charge, this should be discussed before that testing is undertaken.

9. PAYMENT
Payment is due according to the arrangements communicated when booking or attending the appointment.

Payment methods may vary by clinic location.

Where payment is processed by an independent payment provider, that provider's terms and privacy arrangements may also apply.

Holistic Wellness reserves the right to require payment in advance for certain appointments or services.

10. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING
Holistic Wellness understands that circumstances can change.

Clients who need to cancel or reschedule an appointment are requested to provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

The standard cancellation notice period is [INSERT – for example, 24 or 48 hours].

Where an appointment is cancelled with less than the required notice, Holistic Wellness reserves the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee reflecting the circumstances and losses incurred, subject to applicable consumer law.

Where a client does not attend an appointment without notification, the full appointment fee may be payable where this has been clearly communicated as part of the booking terms and is lawful and proportionate.

Exceptional circumstances will be considered reasonably.

11. CANCELLATION BY HOLISTIC WELLNESS
On rare occasions, Holistic Wellness may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to illness, equipment failure, travel disruption, venue problems or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Where this occurs, reasonable efforts will be made to offer an alternative appointment.

Where Holistic Wellness cancels a prepaid appointment and a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, the amount paid for the affected service will normally be refunded.

Holistic Wellness will not be responsible for unrelated consequential expenses, such as travel or accommodation costs, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

12. BIOMARKER SCREENING
Where point-of-care biomarker screening is offered, testing is intended to provide screening information within the capabilities and limitations of the particular test and equipment used.

Clients should understand that:
Screening does not replace medical diagnosis
Results may require confirmation through an accredited medical laboratory
Reference ranges may vary according to laboratory, methodology, age, sex and clinical circumstances
A result within a reference range does not necessarily exclude disease
An abnormal result does not necessarily establish a diagnosis
Results should be considered alongside symptoms, history and appropriate medical assessment

Where appropriate, clients may be advised to provide results to their GP or seek further medical investigation.

13. COMPLEMENTARY OBSERVATIONAL ASSESSMENTS
Live Blood Analysis, Dry Blood Analysis, Iridology, Sclera Observation and related complementary observational approaches are not substitutes for recognised medical diagnostic investigations.

Observations made using these modalities are interpreted within their complementary or educational context.

They should not be interpreted as confirmation or exclusion of a medical disease or disorder.

Where conventional medical investigation is appropriate, clients will be encouraged to consult an appropriate healthcare professional.

14. NAILFOLD CAPILLAROSCOPY
Where Nailfold Capillaroscopy is included within an assessment, the technique may be used to observe visible characteristics of the nailfold microcirculation.

The nature and limitations of the assessment will be explained as appropriate.

Unless explicitly provided within an appropriately regulated medical diagnostic context, observations made within Holistic Wellness should not be interpreted as a medical diagnosis of a vascular, rheumatological or other disease.

Concerning findings may result in a recommendation for further medical assessment.

15. NUTRITIONAL AND LIFESTYLE RECOMMENDATIONS
Nutritional and lifestyle recommendations are personalised according to information available at the time of the consultation.

Recommendations may include:
Dietary changes
Nutritional priorities
Hydration
Meal structure
Lifestyle modification
Exercise or movement considerations
Sleep support
Stress-management considerations
Nutritional supplementation where appropriate

Individual responses vary.

Holistic Wellness cannot guarantee that a particular recommendation will produce a particular result.

16. NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS AND HERBAL PRODUCTS
Where supplements or herbal products are discussed, recommendations are made according to information available at the time.

Clients should disclose medication, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding and other supplements being used.

No supplement should be assumed to be suitable for every individual.

Where a potential interaction or contraindication requires medical or pharmaceutical consideration, the client may be advised to consult their GP, pharmacist or other healthcare professional.

A recommendation does not remove the client's responsibility to follow product directions and disclose relevant changes in their health or medication.

17. CLIENT REPORTS
Where included within the service, clients may receive a personalised report summarising:
Assessment observations
Relevant nutritional considerations
Lifestyle considerations
Screening results where applicable
Recommendations
Educational information
Suggested follow-up

Reports are prepared for the individual client.

They should be interpreted together with the explanations and limitations provided during the consultation and within the report.

Reports are not medical diagnostic reports unless explicitly stated otherwise by an appropriately regulated diagnostic provider.

18. TIMESCALE FOR REPORTS
Where a written report forms part of an assessment, Holistic Wellness will aim to provide it within the timeframe communicated to the client.

Occasionally additional time may be required because of workload, technical issues, complexity or circumstances outside reasonable control.

Any timeframe provided is therefore an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise.

19. FOLLOW-UP
Health, nutritional and lifestyle circumstances change over time.

Recommendations provided during an initial assessment may therefore require review.

Clients may be encouraged to arrange a follow-up assessment after an appropriate period.

A recommendation for follow-up does not create an obligation to book another appointment.

20. RESULTS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED
Every individual is different.

Holistic Wellness therefore does not guarantee:
Improvement in a particular symptom
Prevention of a particular disease
A specific biomarker change
Weight loss
Resolution of an existing condition
A particular response to a supplement
A particular response to dietary or lifestyle modification

The purpose of recommendations is to provide personalised nutritional and lifestyle support based upon the information available.

21. EMERGENCY AND URGENT MEDICAL CARE
Holistic Wellness is not an emergency medical service.

The practice should not be contacted as an alternative to urgent medical assessment.

If you develop severe, rapidly worsening or potentially life-threatening symptoms, seek appropriate urgent medical assistance.

In the United Kingdom this may include contacting your GP, NHS 111 or, in an emergency, calling 999 or attending an appropriate emergency department.

Do not wait for a Holistic Wellness appointment, email response or consultation where urgent medical attention may be required.

22. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Where services are provided to children or young people, additional considerations may apply regarding consent, parental responsibility, confidentiality and safeguarding.

Holistic Wellness reserves the right to require the involvement or consent of an individual with parental responsibility where appropriate.

The welfare and best interests of the child or young person will be an important consideration.

23. PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Clients who are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding should inform Holistic Wellness before implementing supplement, herbal or significant dietary recommendations.

Certain products or interventions may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Medical or pharmaceutical advice may be recommended where appropriate.

24. CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Holistic Wellness Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Health information may constitute special category personal data and is handled accordingly.

Clients should refer to the separate:
Privacy Policy & UK GDPR Notice

for further information about how personal information is collected, stored, processed and protected and how individuals may exercise their data-protection rights.

25. PHOTOGRAPHS AND ASSESSMENT IMAGES
Certain services may involve capturing assessment images, including microscopy, iris, sclera or nailfold images.

Where such images can identify or be linked to an individual, they will be handled as personal information.

Images will not be used for unrelated marketing or promotional purposes without an appropriate lawful basis and, where consent is relied upon, appropriate consent.

26. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, website content and original materials produced by Holistic Wellness may be protected by intellectual-property law.

This may include:

Providing a report or educational material to a client does not automatically transfer intellectual-property ownership.

Clients may retain and use their personal reports for their own personal health and educational purposes.

Commercial reproduction, redistribution, publication or modification of protected practice materials without permission is prohibited except where permitted by law.

27. WEBSITE INFORMATION
Information on the Holistic Wellness website is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

The Holistic Wellness website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Holistic Wellness does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, privacy practices or terms.

A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

29. PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
Holistic Wellness aims to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

The practice reserves the right to decline or discontinue non-emergency services where there is a reasonable basis for doing so, including circumstances involving abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour, subject to applicable law and professional obligations.

Where appropriate, reasonable steps will be taken to communicate the decision.

30. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Nothing seeks to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Subject to applicable law, Holistic Wellness will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects a consumer's statutory rights.

31. CONSUMER RIGHTS
Clients purchasing services from Holistic Wellness may have rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, where applicable to contracts concluded at a distance or away from business premises, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict statutory consumer rights.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies to a booking made online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, the applicable legal requirements will be respected.

Where a client expressly requests that a service begins during an applicable cancellation period, additional statutory provisions may apply.

32. COMPLAINTS
Holistic Wellness aims to provide a professional, respectful and high-quality service.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, you are encouraged to contact Holistic Wellness so that the matter can be reviewed.

Complaints should be submitted to:

Please provide sufficient information to identify the appointment and explain your concern.

Holistic Wellness will aim to acknowledge and respond to complaints within a reasonable timeframe.

33. FORCE MAJEURE AND EVENTS OUTSIDE REASONABLE CONTROL
Holistic Wellness will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing a service where this results from circumstances genuinely outside reasonable control.

Examples may include:
Severe weather
Transport disruption
Power failure
Internet or telecommunications failure
Venue closure
Equipment failure
Serious illness
Public-health restrictions
Other significant unforeseen events

Where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule affected appointments.

34. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Holistic Wellness may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in:
Services
Practice procedures

Pricing or booking arrangements
Legal or regulatory requirements

The version applicable to a particular booking will normally be the version in force when that booking was made, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed.

The latest version will be available through the Holistic Wellness website.

35. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

36. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply according to the client's circumstances.
